GOOGLE DESKBAR API
[Nov 19, 2004] Google's just announced the launch of 'Google Deskbar API'. It's an API interface to help programmers to develop their own plug-ins based on 'Google Deskbar', the 'mini-viewer' which allows you to perform Google searches without opening your web browser.
